MATERIALWe chose high-quality ash wood as the raw material for our folding hammock frames and stands. Our wood grows in Upper Austria, Salzburg and the neighboring Bavarian area.
In addition to the great properties of ash wood (flexible, tough and resistant), it offers another huge advantage: the entire transport time from the forest to our factory takes just under two hours, i.e. little CO²!
In addition, our wood grows in sustainably managed forests and is therefore PEFC certified.
PRODUCT CAREWood is a natural material that constantly absorbs and releases moisture (shrinkage according to RAL) depending on the moisture content of the local environment. That's why wooden furniture, just like our folding hammock frames and stands, should not be exposed to extremely high or low humidity (e.g. during the heating season).
Otherwise the wood will start to work again, warp, show open glue joints or cracks.
IMPORTANT! The Terra hammock frame made of wood should be kept dry and frost-free over the winter!
The frame should be re-glazed again after a few years.
